On Tuesday, US law firm Boies Schiller Flexner announced it has added a partner to its international arbitration group in London. The hire follows the departure of London leader Natasha Harrison who moved on to establish a rival firm.
Timothy Foden is the first partner to join Boies Schiller’s London office since Harrison’s January departure. Before joining Boies Schiller, Foden served as a partner at Swiss law firm Lalive’s London outpost.
In a statement, managing partners Sigrid McCawley, Matthew Schwartz and Alan Vickery said, “As we have evaluated opportunities to expand in London this year, we have remained focused on growing in a way that is fully integrated with the rest of the firm.”
Speaking to Reuters, Schwartz said that growing the firm’s London office is currently a “strategic priority.” Boies Schiller now has five attorneys in London, according to its website on Tuesday. One of these attorneys is a partner who also spends time in New York, while two others were promoted to partner earlier on in the year.
