7 new sexual abuse lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs were filed Monday.

Seven new lawsuits alleging sexual abuse against Sean “Diddy” Combs were submitted on Monday (Oct. 14) in federal court in Manhattan. This marks the beginning of what is anticipated to be a series of numerous civil cases to be filed in the coming weeks. Each of these cases was brought forth by anonymous plaintiffs identified as Jane Doe or John Doe. The lawsuits were filed by Los Angeles attorney Andrew Van Arsdale and Texas attorney Tony Buzbee, who recently announced that he is representing at least 120 individuals claiming similar experiences.

Combs, who has long been shielded from repercussions due to his wealth, is now confronted with the formidable American judicial system and will ultimately face a jury of his peers tasked with holding him accountable for his alleged misconduct, as stated by the lawyers in their complaints.

On Monday, five of the lawsuits were brought forth by men, while two were filed by women. One woman alleges that Combs enticed her into a bathroom during a 1995 promotional event for a Notorious B.I.G. music video, where he then assaulted her. After the incident, he reportedly warned her, “You better not tell anyone about this, or you will disappear.”

Another lawsuit comes from a man who claims he was sexually assaulted by Combs in 1998 when he was just 16 years old, attending one of the rapper’s well-known “white parties” in the Hamptons.

He alleges that Combs forced him to take off his pants and insisted on “inspecting” his genitals. The lawyers noted in that lawsuit, “Combs suddenly released John Doe’s genitals and mentioned that his people would be in touch.” They added, “Combs carried on with his party as if nothing had occurred, but for John Doe, everything had changed.” Combs' representatives have not yet responded to requests for comment.

Combs, who is also known as Puff Daddy and P. Diddy, was once a major figure in the music industry. However, last month, he was charged by federal prosecutors with serious allegations including sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, and bribery. If found guilty of all charges, he could face a life sentence. The indictment claims that Combs operated a large criminal enterprise to fulfill his desire for “sexual gratification.”

It describes incidents referred to as “freak offs,” where Combs and others allegedly drugged victims and coerced them into sexual encounters with male sex workers, along with instances of violence and intimidation to ensure silence from the victims. A trial is scheduled for May 5. Beyond the criminal charges, Combs has been dealing with numerous civil lawsuits over the past year, with at least 12 filed before the latest lawsuits emerged.
