Berman Tabacco files a securities class action lawsuit against Acadia Healthcare Company, Inc.

Berman Tabacco has announced the filing of a securities class action in the Middle District of Tennessee against Acadia Healthcare Company, Inc. and certain current and former officers. This lawsuit is on behalf of individuals who purchased Acadia securities between February 28, 2020, and September 26, 2024.

The case is titled Kachrodia v. Acadia Healthcare Company, Inc.

To become the lead plaintiff for the class, you must submit a motion to the court by December 16, 2024. Any member of the proposed class can file this motion with the assistance of their chosen attorney, or they may choose to remain a member of the class without taking further action.

If you purchased Acadia common stock during the Class Period and experienced significant losses, and you’re interested in becoming the lead plaintiff, please contact Berman Tabacco at 800-516-9926 or email at law@bermantabacco.com.

The complaint alleges that the defendants made false and misleading statements and failed to disclose several critical issues, including:

  1.  Acadia Healthcare’s business model involved detaining vulnerable individuals against their will without medical justification.
  2.  Many patients in Acadia facilities faced abuse.
  3.  Acadia misled insurance companies into covering unnecessary patient stays.
  4.  As a result, the defendants’ statements about their business, operations, and future prospects were materially false and lacked a reasonable basis.

Berman Tabacco represents both individuals and organizations in class action lawsuits on a contingency fee basis, meaning they cover all legal fees and costs throughout the litigation. If they win the case, they will request their fees and expenses from the settlement fund. If they do not succeed, you won’t owe any legal fees or costs.

Berman Tabacco is one of the US leading class action law firms, focused on complex business and fraud litigation, founded in 1982 with offices in Boston and San Francisco. The firm has prosecuted hundreds of securities and antitrust complex cases, recovering billions of dollars for clients and the classes they represented.
