Who is Eligible for Compensation?
Consumers who purchased Breyers' Natural Vanilla ice cream from April 21, 2016, to August 14, 2024, may be eligible for compensation. The settlement will create a fund of $8.85 million for affected customers.
Eligible consumers will receive $1 for each carton of Breyers' Natural Vanilla ice cream purchased, as determined by the court. To qualify for compensation, consumers must provide proof of purchase. Those with valid receipts can submit an unlimited number of claims. Additionally, customers without proof of purchase can file up to eight claims, potentially receiving up to $8 total.
New Product Formula Requirement
The court has mandated that within one year of the settlement's conclusion, Breyers must create a new product formula that excludes vanilla sourced from non-vanilla origins.
