Garth Brooks: 90's Country music star accused of rape in lawsuit.

Country music artist Garth Brooks faces allegations of rape and sexual assault in a lawsuit initiated by his former hair and make-up artist. The plaintiff, who remains anonymous in the legal documents and is referred to as Jane Roe, asserts that the incident took place during a trip from Nashville to Los Angeles, where Brooks was scheduled to perform at the 2019 Grammy Awards. The lawsuit, submitted on Thursday in the Los Angeles Superior Court, contends that although Brooks typically travels with a team, he and the plaintiff flew alone to the event on his private jet, and he arranged for only one hotel suite for their stay.

According to the allegations, upon entering the suite, Brooks appeared naked in the doorway of the bedroom and proceeded to assault her. So far, representatives for Brooks have declined to provide any comments on the matter.

The lawsuit asserts that Brooks acted as if nothing had transpired and anticipated that she would attend to his hair and make-up without delay. The woman further claims that earlier that same year, while at Brooks' residence, he appeared before her in a state of undress, seized her hands, and placed them on his genitals. In an effort to counter the allegations, Brooks reportedly initiated a separate lawsuit in federal court in Mississippi last month, in which both he and the woman remained anonymous, as stated in

Thursday's lawsuit.

In the court documents related to that case, the plaintiff, identified as John Doe, contended that the allegations were "entirely false," asserting that he first became aware of them in July when she threatened to publicly sue him unless he provided her with millions of dollars.

He requested a judge to prevent the woman from engaging in "intentional infliction of emotional distress, defamation, and false light invasion of privacy." The lawsuit filed by Jane Roe alleges that in addition to the two incidents mentioned, Brooks exposed himself to her on numerous other occasions, discussed sexual fantasies with her, and sent her explicit text messages. She claims that she felt compelled to continue working for him due to financial difficulties, which he was aware of and exploited. The unnamed claimant is also believed to have been employed by Brooks' wife, fellow country singer Trisha Yearwood, since 1999.
