Police Involved in Family Dispute of Kyle Richards’ Ex Mauricio Umansky Over His 81-Year-Old Father
Authorities were summoned due to a family conflict involving Mauricio Umansky, the estranged husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, and his father Eduardo Umansky's girlfriend, as reported exclusively by Lawyer Monthly. Court documents reveal that Mauricio’s sister, Sharon Umansky Benton, has filed a police report and is seeking charges against Eduardo’s long-term partner, Simin Tabibnia.
Restraining Order Against Simin Tabibnia
Sharon, 52, has been granted a permanent restraining order against Simin, 68, which mandates that Simin must maintain a distance of 100 yards from Sharon and refrain from any form of harassment. This restraining order is set to last until 2029. In her court filing, Sharon accused Simin of keeping Eduardo away from his family and friends. She stated, “[Simin] keeps him isolated, so I have been trying to visit more often which is why this is happening more. She hides his phone from him and is abusive to him as well but he is old and afraid to be alone and she claims to have some kind of evidence against him for some reason so he stays with her.”

Allegations of Financial Exploitation and Conservatorship Petition
Sharon went on to say, “I’m not sure what all of that means, but she’s trying to keep me away from my dad while she persuades him to hand over all his money.” In a separate attempt to establish a conservatorship for Eduardo, Mauricio, 54, and Sharon informed the court, “[Eduardo] is susceptible to undue influence and fraud, and his girlfriend has exploited him. Over the last eighteen months, [Eduardo] and [Mauricio and Sharon] have uncovered that she has taken, hidden, and misappropriated over $260,000 from [Eduardo] through undue influence, whether it be physical, emotional, or fraudulent,” the petition stated. The court designated Mauricio and Sharon as co-conservators of their father's financial matters.
Incidents of Physical Altercations and Legal Proceedings
During the restraining order proceedings, Sharon’s attorney claimed, “For quite some time, [Simin] had exhibited violent and abusive behavior, culminating in a physical attack on September 27, 2024, when she assaulted [Sharon]. Not only did [Sharon] suffer blows, but [Simin] also bit her arm and pulled hair from her scalp, leading to the first incident being reported to the police and Sharon seeking criminal charges.” The attorney further noted, “The situation did not improve after the court issued a temporary restraining order against [Simin], which was served; instead, [Simin] persisted in her violent and hateful behavior. When [Simin] encountered [Sharon] again on October 9, 2024, in the lobby of her father’s condo, [Simin] lost control and physically attacked [Sharon] once more, necessitating a permanent order following full hearings on October 25, 2024.”

Counter Allegations and Financial Reimbursement Request
Simin responded by filing a petition for a restraining order against Sharon, alleging that Sharon had been the one to get physical. She also refuted claims that she was isolating Eduardo from his family or taking advantage of him. The court denied the petition after the judge listened to testimonies from both sides. Recently, Sharon filed a motion requesting the court to grant her $35,000 to reimburse the legal expenses she incurred while battling Simin in court. Simin has not yet replied to this request. According to Mauricio and his real estate firm, The Agency, have firmly rejected all claims made in a federal lawsuit that accuses them of "greed."
