The star of Real Housewives of Atlanta, Porsha Williams, is facing a federal lawsuit filed by her estranged husband, Simon Guobadia, alleging defamation and invasion of privacy.
Court documents reveal that Simon initiated the lawsuit on Thursday, November 21, also claiming that Porsha caused him intentional emotional distress. Simon's attorney stated, “Porsha’s assertions, presented as facts, have severely damaged Simon’s personal and professional reputation, subjected him to public mockery, and caused him significant emotional pain.”

In the lawsuit, Simon detailed that he married Porsha, 43, in 2022 but they separated in early 2024. The legal filing noted, “Mr. Guobadia’s relationship with the Defendant turned contentious when she began making negative, false, and misleading statements about him on social media, using her large platform to sway public opinion against him.”
Simon alleged that Porsha made a series of posts on her Instagram on July 9 regarding erectile dysfunction. “These posts were deliberately designed to suggest that Simon suffers from this issue, portraying him in a negative and embarrassing manner,” the lawsuit stated.
His attorney added, “These posts were tagged with #MensHealthAwareness, which seemed to give them a health-focused angle, yet the timing and context clearly indicated they were aimed at Simon.” “The nature, timing, and context of these posts, during the couple’s public separation, led reasonable viewers to conclude that the Defendant’s statements were about the Plaintiff – because they were,” his lawyer emphasized. Simon noted that these statements were widely reported by various media outlets.
His attorney contended, “[Porsha’s] posts were presented factually, suggesting a specific medical diagnosis of ED concerning [Simon], and were clearly meant to portray [Simon] in a negative and humiliating way.” The lawyer added, “As a former spouse, [Porsha’s] remarks were seen by the public as credible and indicative of insider knowledge about [Simon’s] health, increasing the chances that the public would accept these statements as true.”
The lawsuit stated, “[Porsha’s] claims were false; [Simon] does not have ED and has never been diagnosed with this condition.” Simon accused Porsha of making these false claims either knowingly or with reckless disregard for the truth. His lawyer remarked, “[Porsha’s] behavior was extreme, outrageous, and aimed at provoking and causing emotional distress to [Simon].”
Simon expressed that he has experienced emotional distress and personal suffering due to Porsha's statements. The lawsuit claimed, “[Porsha’s] accusations not only attacked [Simon’s] physical and emotional integrity but also undermined his reputation as a capable and respected entrepreneur and philanthropist. By making these assertions publicly, [Porsha] guaranteed their rapid and widespread spread, further damaging the Plaintiff’s credibility and social standing.

The direct and derogatory nature of these statements clearly indicates that they amount to defamation per se, as their content is inherently harmful and detrimental to [Simon’s] personal and professional reputation.” Simon is seeking unspecified damages from Porsha over the erectile dysfunction claims that he asserts have harmed his reputation.
Porsha filed for divorce earlier this year and requested enforcement of their prenup. The legal dispute remains unresolved.
