Megan Thee Stallion Files for Restraining Order Against Tory Lanez, Accuses Him of Harassment from Prison.
Megan Thee Stallion has sought a restraining order against Tory Lanez, claiming he is harassing her from prison via social media and through intermediaries, as detailed in court documents.
On Tuesday, December 17, Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, submitted a petition for the restraining order, asking a judge in the Los Angeles Superior Court to stop Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, from facilitating harassment against her through others. According to the court filing, Lanez, 32, is said to be continuing his harassment of the 29-year-old artist “even while incarcerated.”

The document states, “Despite being sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Ms. Pete, Mr. Peterson persists in causing her ongoing trauma and revictimization.” In 2022, Lanez was found guilty of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, possessing a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence after he shot the Grammy-winning artist in the feet in 2020. He received a 10-year prison sentence in August 2023 and has since filed an appeal.

Megan's legal documents claim that Lanez enlisted blogger Milagro Gramz (real name Milagro Elizabeth Cooper) to form a "conspiratorial relationship."
In October, Megan initiated a lawsuit against Cooper for alleged harassment and for spreading "falsehoods" regarding the 2020 incident involving Megan and Lanez. On Tuesday, December 10, Megan updated her complaint against Cooper by including "additional factual details from Mr. Peterson's prison call logs that illuminate Mr. Peterson's conspiratorial ties with Ms. Cooper."
The filing states that during these prison calls, Mr. Peterson's father, unaware that he was being recorded, inquired about payments made to Ms. Cooper for her harassment of Ms. Pete: "How are they ever going to prove something like that?" Mr. Peterson replied, "Exactly." The document further notes, "Rather than denying that Ms. Cooper has received payment, they question how Ms. Pete discovered their conspiracy." Just three days later, the filing claims that Lanez "once again demonstrated his collaboration with Ms. Cooper to intimidate, harass, and further victimized Ms. Pete."

Megan asserts in her court documents that Lanez released a statement through Unite the People, the "law firm Mr. Peterson himself recruited to represent Ms. Cooper in an attempt to conceal their conspiracy." Cooper's attorneys did not provide a comment to Lawyer Monthly.
The petition for the restraining order stated that Lanez's ongoing harassment has led to significant emotional distress and damage to Megan's reputation. The document claims, "Mr. Peterson knows very well the effects of the psychological tactics he has employed against Ms. Pete, but he persists in encouraging his supporters to undermine her character and integrity."
