Actress Yvette Nicole Brown and Anthony Davis are officially married! The couple celebrated their love in a beautiful wedding ceremony at The Maybourne Beverly Hills in Los Angeles on December 14, 2024. Surrounded by family and friends, the couple’s emotional vows and intimate moments made the day unforgettable. Yvette shared how confident she was in her decision to marry Anthony, while touching tributes to their families added a bittersweet note to the celebration.
In an interview, Yvette expressed complete confidence in her decision to marry Davis, saying, "I had no nerves when it came to marrying this man. He is the one for me. Absolutely," radiating love and certainty.
A Bittersweet Moment for Yvette
The wedding day had a deep emotional significance for both Yvette and Anthony, who have both faced personal losses. Yvette’s brother Paris walked her down the aisle in place of their late father, who is battling Alzheimer's disease. “So my brother and his sister stood in,” Yvette shared. “It was nice to walk down the aisle toward family and with family, even if it’s not the family we wish we had in those roles.”
However, in a touching moment, Anthony arranged for Yvette’s father to be present at the wedding, coordinating with his care facility. Yvette was overjoyed by the surprise, expressing how special it was to have all of their families and friends come together for the first time.
The Wedding Dress Moment
Yvette’s journey to the altar was particularly meaningful to her, especially as she reflected on her first time wearing a wedding dress. “I cried when I saw myself in the wedding dress,” Yvette recalled, reminiscing about an old role she had played on Drake & Josh. “I was crying because I was like, 'This may be the only time I'm in a wedding dress.' To realize that all these years later I was wrong and that I get to have my bridal moment as well, and my happy ending as well, it’s amazing.”
Her stunning gown by Ines Di Santo was a last-minute discovery. Yvette explained, “I saw the dress kind of peeking out of a rack, and I just put my hand on it. I said, 'What about this one? Can I try this one on?' It was just meant to be.”
The dress was customized with two butterflies, a tribute to both Yvette and Anthony’s mothers. “It was just perfect,” she said, clearly emotional about the sentimental significance.
Anthony Davis: "My Other Wing"
Anthony, who wore a custom brown suit from Vinny's Custom Clothes, also shared a heartfelt reflection on his relationship with Yvette. “If you can imagine having one wing in your life and trying to fly with one wing, you kind of go in circles. Now that I've found my other wing, I can fly straight and land where I need to land,” Davis shared, expressing his deep love for his new bride.
The couple’s story is one of love that has blossomed over time. They started as friends in their twenties but drifted apart for a few years. Their reconnection in 2021, after the passing of Yvette’s mother, marked the beginning of a new chapter in their relationship. Yvette fondly shared the story of their engagement, which took place in her hometown of Ohio during a visit to her high school, which had recently honored her by naming an auditorium after her.
