The ongoing assault trial of A$AP Rocky has sparked a heated debate surrounding the topic of "snitching," particularly after the testimony of A$AP Relli, the man who allegedly was shot by Rocky. The controversy intensified on Tuesday evening, following Relli's dramatic testimony earlier in the day.
Relli, leaving the downtown L.A. courthouse, was immediately approached by a paparazzo who asked, "Some people call you a snitch, what you say about that?" Without hesitation, Relli responded, "Would you be a snitch if somebody shot at you?" His calm and direct reply set the stage for a tense back-and-forth with the photographer, who unusually mentioned having a bullet in his leg.
This exchange came just after Relli's testimony, where he described the moment A$AP Rocky allegedly pulled a gun on him during a heated argument in 2021. As we previously reported, Relli recounted the incident, saying, "You better use that st! What the fk you got a gun for?" He went on to explain that he'd never seen Rocky carry a gun before, whether real or a prop.
Rocky’s defence team has argued that the gun in question was a movie prop and couldn’t have fired the round that allegedly grazed Relli during the altercation.
Relli will return to the stand today, with Rihanna expected to be in court to show her support for her partner, A$AP Rocky, and the father of their two children.
As for the "snitching" accusations, Relli's response seemed to make it clear that he is pursuing justice through the legal system, not in the streets.
