Brittany Mahomes and Patrick Mahomes Celebrate Arrival of Baby No. 3! WAG Welcomes 2nd Daughter.
A family of five has just grown! Brittany Mahomes and her husband Patrick Mahomes welcomed their third child, as they shared the joyful news on Monday, January 13.
The couple, both 29, posted a sweet photo of their newborn’s tiny feet, announcing her name as “Golden Raye Mahomes” and revealing that she arrived on Sunday, January 12.
Patrick, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, was present for the birth, thanks to the team securing the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs, which allowed them a bye week while other teams began their playoff journeys on January 11. Golden’s name continues the theme established with their older children, as they previously welcomed daughter Sterling Skye on February 20, 2021, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III on November 29, 2022. The couple first revealed their growing family in an Instagram post on July 12, 2024, featuring their children in matching off-white outfits, joyfully running around the photoshoot while holding Brittany’s sonogram images.
“Round three, here we come,” the former personal trainer wrote in the caption.
On July 19, Brittany and Patrick posted an Instagram video showcasing their gender reveal party. The family engaged in a fun game of tic-tac-toe on a large board, where turning the squares revealed pink Xs or blue Os. When Sterling flipped the boxes and uncovered three Xs, it confirmed she would be getting a baby sister.
Patrick joyfully raised his arms in celebration, but Sterling seemed a bit less enthusiastic, not quite smiling during the festivities that followed the big reveal. In the comments section, fans eagerly speculated about potential names for the new baby, inspired by the names of her older siblings. Some suggested “Goldie,” while others opted for “Rose Gold,” and it turned out they were spot on. Patrick shared that their third child would complete their family, and the couple has no plans for any more kids.
“I’m done. I’ll say that. I said three [kids] and I’m done,” the three-time Super Bown champ said with a smile to reporters ahead of training camp in July 2024.
“No, it’s awesome. I always wanted to have kids young,” he added about the impending arrival.
Patrick said in a December 25, 2024, clip posted by Netflix that his wife was due “any day now.” “Brittany says I’ve been stressing her out too much this season, so I’ve gotta try not to put so much stress on her through these football games and get the bye. And hopefully God works the right way, and we can have that baby maybe on the bye week somewhere and everything will work out perfectly,” The two-time NFL MVP shared insights before his team's Christmas Day matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Chiefs emerged victorious with a score of 29-10, clinching the top seed in the AFC and securing the bye week that Patrick and Brittany had been wishing for. Brittany cheered for her husband from the stands during the 2024 season, attending all of his home games at Arrowhead Stadium with their kids. The Chiefs are aiming to make history in February 2025 by winning their third Super Bowl in a row, a feat no team has accomplished before. Their first playoff matchup is set for Saturday, January 18, where the Chiefs will take on the Houston Texans at home.
