Fox News Unveils New Line-Up: Weekend Favorite Moves to Prime-Time Host Role.
The prime-time slot on Fox News that was vacated by Neil Cavuto has now been filled, and fans will be thrilled to see a familiar face return. The network recently announced several changes to its schedule and anchors following the departure of the beloved business reporter.
Beginning January 21, Will Cain, currently the host of Fox & Friends Weekend, will transition to weekdays to host The Will Cain Show at 4 pm. Charlie Hurt, a Fox News contributor and opinion editor for The Washington Times, will take over Cain's weekend spot. Cain expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating that he aims to help viewers gain a deeper understanding of the news through engaging content and insightful analysis every weekday afternoon.
"It's been an honor to wake up with America these past four years," he said.
Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott expressed her enthusiasm about the new lineup and its potential to transform the network's future. "Will Cain brings years of experience to the 4 pm hour as an accomplished broadcaster and a lawyer, and we look forward to adding his insights to what will no doubt be another historic news cycle ahead this year," she said in a statement.
Cain joined Fox News in 2020 and has had the opportunity to interview prominent figures such as President-elect Donald Trump and actor Dwayne Johnson during his weekend shifts. Prior to his time at Fox, he was with ESPN, where he hosted a radio show called The Will Cain Show and made appearances on the morning debate show First Take.

The recent changes in the network followed the departure of Fox icon Cavuto, who dedicated 28 years to the organization. At 68 years old, he was among the longest-serving anchors, leaving a significant gap in both the main channel and Fox Business.
After he announced his departure, a Fox News spokesperson said, "Neil Cavuto’s illustrious career has been a master class in journalism and we’re extremely proud of his incredible 28-year run with Fox News Media."
"His programs have defined business news and set the standard for the entire industry. "We wish him a heartfelt farewell and all the best on his next chapter." His last day was on December 19.
Who is Will Cain?
Will Cain has joined Fox News' weekday lineup after spending several years as the host of Fox & Friends Weekend. He will take over the 4 pm time slot previously held by business reporter Neil Cavuto with his new program, The Will Cain Show. Cain has been part of the Fox family since 2020, when he first came on board with Fox & Friends.
During his weekend role, he had the opportunity to interview notable figures, including President-elect Donald Trump and actor Dwayne Johnson. Although he is a trained lawyer, Cain ventured into the media world after graduating from the University of Texas.
After completing law school, he founded and later sold a company called Quince, which published a magazine focused on quinceañeras. Before this new role, he worked at ESPN, where he shared his conservative views on various sports topics. He also hosted The Will Cain Show on radio and frequently appeared on the popular debate show First Take. Cain is married to Kathleen Cain, and they have two sons together.
