Hannah Smith, from Love Island USA, has been charged with two felonies following her arrest in 2024, one of which includes making 'terroristic threats'.
Love Island USA star Hannah Smith is facing two criminal charges following her arrest in Atlanta in September 2024, as revealed by Cobb County court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
Smith, 27, was arrested on Monday, Sept. 30, on two felony charges after allegedly threatening a police officer and attempting to punch them. The incident unfolded when the TV personality was escorted out of an Atlanta concert venue for being "disorderly by yelling and screaming," according to police records.
On Wednesday, Jan. 15, Cobb County prosecutor Sonya Allen charged Smith with the felonies of obstruction of officers and terroristic threats, according to court documents.
Love Island USA's Hannah Smith Arrested on 2 Felony Charges, Including 'Terroristic Threats' Prosecutors allege that Smith “knowingly and willfully obstructed Cobb County Police Department Officer Kayla Winkfield, in the lawful discharge of her official duties by offering to do violence to said person, by lunging at and attempting to punch and kick Officer Kayla Winkfield," according to the charging document.
The document also claims Smith was “suggesting the death of Kayla Winkfield with the purpose of terrorizing Kayla Winkfield" and "threatening to kill Kayla Winkfield.”

Cobb County Sheriff According to police records, Smith was reportedly "intoxicated" when she was escorted out of the concert venue. She allegedly punched an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) staffer, making contact with their right arm. The staff member chose not to press charges.
Smith then allegedly attempted to punch a police officer who was trying to assist her, though she did not make contact. After being taken to the ground by the officer, Smith was placed under arrest. The report indicates she attempted to kick the officer while on the ground several times, but again failed to make contact.
As Smith was being transported to jail, she allegedly threatened to kill both the officer and the officer's sister multiple times.
Smith was booked into jail at approximately 11:45 p.m. local time and held on an $8,000 bond, according to jail records. She was later released under the conditions of her bail, which include no consumption of alcohol, marijuana, or non-prescribed drugs, and she must submit to random drug tests.
Smith was a fan-favourite contestant on season 6 of Love Island USA but was eliminated early, becoming the season's first day-one girl to be dumped from the island.
