Jessica Simpson, 44, and her husband, Eric Johnson, 45, have announced a separation after a decade of marriage. The couple, who share three children, revealed they have been living apart and are focusing on navigating this challenging time while prioritizing their family.

Simpson opened up about their situation in a heartfelt statement, saying, “Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage.” The couple has always prioritized their family, and Simpson emphasized that their children remain their top priority: “Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them.” She also expressed gratitude for the support they have received, adding, “We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”

This announcement comes shortly after Simpson shared a post on Instagram, where she appeared to be in good spirits. In the post, Simpson shared a cheerful selfie with the playful reminder, “Life is short. SMILE while you still have teeth😜.” Despite the separation, Simpson's resilience and positive attitude seem unwavering.

In a surprising twist, Simpson also hinted at a musical "comeback." She shared images of herself in a recording studio and captioned the post, “Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic.” She further elaborated, “This comeback is personal. It’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve.”

A source close to the couple revealed that Simpson and Johnson “definitely lead separate lives” at this point. The couple’s decision to part ways after a decade of marriage signals that there have been ongoing struggles behind the scenes.
