Julia Fox Exposes Kanye's Control Over Her Wardrobe as Fans Mock Bianca Censori’s Fashion.
Kanye West’s new fashion line, inspired by his wife Bianca Censori, has quickly sparked backlash from fans, especially after the rapper faced criticism for posting a nude photo of his Australian wife.

On Tuesday, Kanye, 47, unveiled an upcoming women’s collection for his YZY fashion brand via Instagram, sharing a sneak peek of a design reportedly inspired by Bianca, 30.
The design, which closely resembles one worn by Bianca just two weeks earlier, features thin spaghetti straps and a sheer black material. Fans weren’t shy about sharing their thoughts, with one calling the outfit a ‘napkin,’ and others fuming over Kanye’s apparent disregard for his wife’s dignity.
Amid this uproar, Lawyer Monthly revisits unsettling revelations from Kanye’s ex-girlfriend Julia Fox, who has previously opened up about his obsession with controlling women’s wardrobes.

In her memoir Down the Drain, the 34-year-old actress and model describes her brief relationship with Kanye in early 2022 as a game of "sick and twisted" control. Julia, who refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) after their split, provides one of the few first-hand accounts of Kanye’s manipulation regarding women’s fashion.
Julia writes, “They’re party decorations. Ornaments to be admired,” describing the crowds at Kanye’s lavish, "Gatsby-like" parties.
Reflecting on the experience, Julia recalls, "He appoints a team to work on my wardrobe. I immediately think of an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians where he did the same thing for his estranged wife in their early stages of dating. This is all so surreal."
Julia recounts meeting Kanye—whom she refers to only as ‘the artist’—when a friend offered to pass her number along to a celebrity interested in her. After their first high-energy meeting, Kanye wasted no time in asking Julia to be his girlfriend and appointed two of her closest friends, Tammy and Liana, as her personal stylists.

However, as the relationship progressed, Julia noticed her friendships began to crumble, as her friends no longer consulted her about her fashion choices but instead followed Kanye’s directions. "I watch powerless as my life shrinks to fit inside cardboard boxes. The new clothes he got me won’t fit inside my small place," she writes.
When Julia and Kanye broke up, Tammy and Liana continued working for him, styling his next girlfriend. Julia writes that after the tragic death of a mutual friend, Kanye had Tammy and Liana leave the funeral early for a job, leading to Liana quitting, though Tammy remained.
"I block her number," Julia says. "I can’t accept that my friend of ten years would choose him over me … for clout."
Julia also details an unsettling moment where Kanye secretly called one of her stylists during a dinner date. “Tammy texted me, 'Come to the bathroom.' To my surprise, I find [Tammy] in the bathroom with a mountain of clothes. I’m happy to see her, but it’s a little strange he didn’t just tell me he didn’t like my original outfit.”
During a dinner at New York’s Carbone, Kanye had photographers capture photos of the evening, which Julia later discovered on Page Six. She reflects, “I felt like a ‘show monkey.’”
In another instance, Kanye staged an impromptu photoshoot in a hotel room, later publishing the images in Interview magazine. Julia recalls Kanye suggesting she get a boob job after she mentioned one of the outfits "didn’t fit quite right." She turned down the offer, writing, "I look at myself in the mirror, taking in my post-baby body. They’re not so bad, I think to myself."
By the second month of their short-lived relationship, Julia began questioning whether Kanye’s affections were genuine or part of an ongoing publicity stunt. The tipping point came at her birthday party when Kanye gifted her and her friends expensive Birkin bags but insisted they pose and film their reactions until he was satisfied with the footage.
“As we post like puppets, I question his true intentions, feeling that this grand gesture is nothing more than a publicity stunt,” Julia reflects. "The only time he engages is when the camera is on us," she adds. "When he will grab me and kiss me passionately."
The following day, Julia ended the relationship over the phone, and Kanye took with him a “million-dollar deal” with an Italian denim brand, which was reportedly contingent on her being his girlfriend.
After their breakup, Julia was bombarded with texts and calls from Kanye, pressuring her to sign the NDA she had refused. Despite the pressure, Julia stood her ground, even if it meant risking her career in the entertainment industry.
This week, speaking about his new fashion line, Kanye wrote on Instagram: "Yzy women’s coming next • SCALING INNOVATION For anyone in clothing that doesn’t work at Yeezy be afraid Be very afraid."
