Princess Kate Middleton and Prince William recently enjoyed a family ski trip to the Alps with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The royal family’s winter getaway came shortly after celebrating Christmas at the King’s Sandringham estate. Alongside her family, Kate also spent time with her brother, James Middleton, and his wife, Alizee.

While the trip allowed the family to unwind, it also marked a pivotal moment for Kate as she made her return to public duties. After undergoing cancer treatment last year, Kate visited the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she shared an update on her recovery and announced she is now in remission. This heartwarming message highlighted her gratitude and commitment to supporting groundbreaking cancer research. As she embarks on a fulfilling year ahead, Kate continues to inspire with her resilience and dedication to both her family and royal responsibilities.

According to reports, Princess Kate was joined by her brother, James Middleton, and his wife, Alizee. The family was spotted enjoying warm beverages together at a mountaintop restaurant, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the snowy landscape. In an Instagram post, James Middleton shared a series of stunning photos from the trip, including one with his baby son, Inigo. “We started the New Year with an adventure into the mountains,” he wrote. “We were lucky enough to be engulfed by blue skies and cold crisp air.”

While the ski trip was a delightful family escape, Princess Kate’s return to public duties also marked a significant moment. Earlier this week, she attended her first solo engagement since 2023, visiting the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she had undergone cancer treatment. Following her visit, the Princess shared a heartfelt message on social media, expressing her gratitude for the exceptional care she received and announcing her remission.

“I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year,” Princess Kate wrote. “My heartfelt thanks go to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything. We couldn’t have asked for more.”

During her visit, Kate was named co-joint patron of the Royal Marsden Hospital alongside Prince William. She also shared her commitment to supporting groundbreaking cancer research and improving the patient and family experience. “In my new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, my hope is that by supporting research and clinical excellence, we might save many more lives,” she said.

Reflecting on her personal recovery, Kate expressed her relief at being in remission and the ongoing process of adjusting to a new normal. “I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support,” she concluded.

In 2016, during a royal tour of Canada, Kate and William were asked about their past skiing experiences. Prince William, known for his sense of humour, jokingly shared that he was the better skier between himself and Kate, but Kate quickly responded with a laugh, saying that she had a lot of "enthusiasm" for the sport. This exchange showed the couple’s playful dynamic and hints that, while they enjoy skiing and snowboarding, they tend to keep the details of their trips relatively private.

In 2018, during a visit to the Ice Hockey Academy in Germany, Prince William joked about their ski holidays, saying, “I’ve been on a lot of family holidays and snowboarding holidays over the years, and I think I’ve got my kids’ enthusiasm for skiing.”
