Kody Brown, known from Sister Wives, expressed that he felt somewhat excluded when he didn't get an invitation to his ex-wife Christine Brown's wedding with David Woolley.
“Really, where I’m at is Christine’s happy, and that’s great,” Kody, 55, shared in a video from an upcoming episode released by TLC on Instagram on January 18 that he was experiencing FOMO, or the fear of missing out.
Many fans of the TLC series expressed their disapproval of Kody's comment, with several criticizing the Brown patriarch for being estranged from some of his children. “You used to have this big family, then you threw it away. Also it’s your ex-wife’s wedding. It’s not your place to be there. If you miss your kids so much, put your giant ego somewhere and pick up the phone and call them,” wrote one Instagram user.
Another person added, “He is BUTT HURT that no attention is on him anymore.”
Christine, 52, and her new husband, 61, exchanged their vows in October 2023, but fans are only now witnessing the wedding celebrations in season 19 of Sister Wives. Earlier this week, the network's official Instagram account posted a video featuring Kody and his wife, Robyn Brown, sharing their thoughts on not being invited to Christine's wedding.

“I knew David and Christine were going to get married because I saw an announcement at my sister’s house,” Kody said to Robyn, 46, in one scene. “I’m really fine. I’m resolved with it.” Kody tried to discuss the situation further, but Robyn interrupted him, saying, “We’re just really happy for them… All we want is for Christine to be happy. That’s our main concern.” Kody had been “spiritually” married to Christine, Janelle Brown, and Meri Brown, but in November 2021, Christine chose to end her relationship with him.
“After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” Christine wrote in a statement shared via Instagram on November 2, 2021. “We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family. With Love, Christine Brown.”
After Christine and Kody went their separate ways, Janelle, 55, and Meri, 54, decided to do the same. Janelle ended her relationship with Kody in December 2022, and Meri followed in January 2023. Just over a year after Christine and Kody's split, Christine shared that she had found a new partner. She introduced David to the world in February 2023, and just two months later, the owner of David Woolley Drywall proposed. They tied the knot within six months.
“It’s a fairytale. It’s everything I never thought I would have. I get to walk down the aisle to David, him just looking at me the way that he does, it’s a dream come true,” Christine said after her October 7, 2023, nuptials.
