Love Island star Jack Fincham Sentenced to Prison After Dog Attack Incident.
Former Love Island star Jack Fincham, 33, has been sentenced to six weeks in prison after his dog, Elvis, attacked a runner in Swanley, Kent, in 2022. Fincham, 32, faced charges related to two incidents involving the same dog, a black cane corso. The first attack occurred in September 2022 when the dog bit Robert Sudell during a run, and a second incident in June of the same year involved the dog being dangerously out of control in Grays, Essex.
Jack Fincham, former Love Island star, took a significant step in his post-reality TV career by turning professional in boxing. After signing with Boxxer in 2021, Fincham made his debut under their banner, ready to showcase his skills in the ring. With a solid amateur background and a passion for the sport, he is determined to make a mark in the boxing world. Here's an inside look at his journey into professional boxing and the support he’s received from the team at Boxxer.
Fincham, who gained fame for winning Love Island in 2018 alongside Dani Dyer, pleaded guilty to two counts of having a dangerously out of control dog. At Southend Magistrates' Court, he received a six-week prison sentence, and the court also ordered him to pay £3,680 in costs, including £2,000 for kennelling, a £961 fine, and £200 in compensation to Mr. Sudell.
The Incident and Court Ruling
According to prosecutor Erin Peck, Sudell had initially accepted an apology from Fincham after the first incident, and Fincham was told to muzzle his dog and attend a responsible dog ownership course. However, when the second attack occurred in Grays, Fincham was charged and faced legal action.
Magistrate Anne Wade stated that Fincham’s dog had not been following the conditions set for its control. The court issued an order for the dog to be muzzled in public, kept on a lead, and not left alone with anyone under 16. At the time of the Swanley attack, Fincham was already under a suspended sentence for a previous driving offense, which was partially enforced during the hearing.
A Personal Struggle for Fincham
The case has stirred public interest due to Fincham’s fame and the tragic nature of the incidents. While he was led to the cells after the sentencing, Jack Fincham's girlfriend Chloe Brockett was seen crying, indicating the emotional impact of the case. Fincham’s previous career as a pen salesman was overshadowed by his rise to fame on Love Island, but after the couple’s breakup with Dani Dyer, his personal and legal troubles began to capture the media’s attention. The couple were together for about nine months after winning Love Island in 2018. They announced their split in April 2019.
