Meghan Markle Makes a Return to Podcasting with Lemonada Media.
The Duchess of Sussex made a highly anticipated return to Instagram on New Year's Day, quickly followed by the exciting announcement of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. But that’s not all—Meghan is also making her way back into the world of podcasting. In February 2024, she signed a new podcasting deal with Lemonada Media, and just yesterday, the company teased “new year, new episodes” on Instagram. The post featured a graphic that included Meghan’s previous podcast Archetypes, alongside other shows from the media company.
“I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting,” Meghan shared in a statement following the deal announcement. “Being able to support a female-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024. Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast, are well in the works. I’m so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family.”
Archetypes originally premiered on Spotify in 2022 with twelve episodes. However, in 2023, Meghan and Prince Harry’s company, Archewell Audio, ended their partnership with Spotify. In a joint statement, both parties expressed they had “mutually agreed to part ways” and were proud of the series created together. Meghan closed the first season of Archetypes by thanking her listeners: “We’re working on other ways to keep the conversation going, but just know that as we close out this season of Archetypes, that I thank you. Thank you for listening and learning with me. This has been liberating and healing, and it’s been fun.”
While it's still uncertain whether Meghan will produce a second season of Archetypes with Lemonada Media, there is speculation about whether she will launch a new podcast tied to her Netflix series With Love, Meghan or her project American Riviera Orchard. Fans are eagerly awaiting to hear what’s next as Meghan takes the next step in her podcasting journey.
