The 36-year-old granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth and her husband, Edoardo, are thrilled by the arrival of their baby girl. The couple, who also share an older daughter, Sienna, and Wolfie, Edoardo's son from a previous relationship, are settling in at home and bonding with their newborn.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the news, stating, “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, born on Wednesday, January 22 at 12:57pm, at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London. The baby was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces. Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of the royal family have all been informed and are delighted with the news.”

Princess Beatrice’s medical team had advised her against long-distance travel in December, suggesting that an early birth was a possibility. This led her to adjust her holiday plans and join the royal family for Christmas services in Sandringham, despite the early arrival risk. The early birth came as expected, but with good health for both Beatrice and her baby Athena.

The proud parents shared a heartwarming photograph of their daughter, taken by Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. In the image, Athena is dressed in a white long-sleeved outfit and snuggled in a pink blanket, her face partially covered by her arm.
