Kanye West’s Hitler Tweets Being Cited Against Him by Ex-Employee in Court: ‘Source of His Own Downfall.

Kanye West’s controversial tweets about Adolf Hitler are now being used against him in a legal battle with his former employee. While Kanye expressed frustration over what he described as "negative media coverage," his ex-employee, Tony Saxon, argued that the rapper is “the cause of his own downfall.”

According to court documents, Tony Saxon, who filed a lawsuit against Kanye in September 2023 for discrimination and retaliation, asked the judge to deny Kanye's request to postpone the trial scheduled for February 24. Kanye's legal troubles are deepened by the claims made by Saxon, who argues that the rapper's own actions have led to his current situation.

In July 2024, Kanye's former attorney, Brian Brumfield, withdrew from the case, citing Kanye’s refusal to communicate and unpaid fees for his services. Kanye, 47, recently secured a new attorney, Eduardo Martorell, who agreed to represent him in Saxon’s lawsuit. However, Martorell requested more time to review the details of the case.

Manoj Shah, an attorney who claimed to have worked with Kanye, also informed the court that Kanye had faced difficulties in securing legal representation following his split with previous lawyers. Shah attributed this challenge to the overwhelming negative media attention surrounding Kanye.

Kanye’s motion claimed he had interviewed 8-10 defense litigation firms but struggled to find legal counsel until he found Martorell. However, Tony Saxon challenged Kanye’s request to delay the trial, saying; “Mr. Shah does not give any substance as to what media coverage is leading to the purported inability of Defendant to obtain counsel in this case. Defendant has parted ways with three prior counsel of record before Mr. Shah ‘specially’ appeared. [Tony] and the Court are left guessing what supposed media coverage is connected with what supposed fruitless attempts to find to counsel.”

Tony said, “Ye is the source of his own demise in this regard.” He pointed to antisemitic remarks that Ye made in October 2022, which led to problems with his partnership with Adidas.

A former employee provided screenshots of several tweets from Ye over the weekend, highlighting those where he praised Hitler and used homophobic slurs. Tony argued, “Defendant asking any relief based on the above referenced attempt to make a mockery of the legal system. Based thereon, Defendant’s trouble finding counsel to step in to this action, a self-inflicted trouble, should not (and cannot) be grounds for good cause to continue trial or trial-related dates.”

Tony then referenced Ye's recent rants on X over the weekend, stating, “Coincidentally, today, February 7, 2025, Defendant decided to post his thoughts about [Diddy], Jewish people, Hitler, Nazis, Swastikas, homosexuals and people with disabilities to millions of people on X,” according to his motion.

Tony alleged that he worked for Ye from September 2021 to November 2021, hired as a 24/7 security guard for Ye’s previous residence in Malibu, California.

In his lawsuit, Tony claimed he was made to sleep on the floor due to the absence of beds and was promised a weekly salary of $20,000. The situation reportedly ended when Tony refused to follow Ye’s instructions on a construction project. Ye has denied all accusations of misconduct.

His former lawyer argued, “Without admitting that any damages were suffered by [Tony], if damages were suffered by [Tony] as alleged in the complaint, those damages were proximately caused by and contributed to by persons and entities other than [Ye]. The liability of [Ye] and any responsible parties, named or unnamed, should be apportioned according to the relative degrees of fault, and the liability of [Ye] should be reduced accordingly.”

As Kanye’s legal battle continues, his history of controversial public statements—particularly his October 2022 antisemitic remarks and recent social media posts—remain a central issue in both his lawsuit and broader public perception.
