Travis Kelce Misses Chiefs Afterparty, Facetimes The Chainsmokers After Super Bowl Defeat.
Despite the Kansas City Chiefs' tough 40-22 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 9, tight end Travis Kelce remained upbeat and connected with old friends the following day.
On Monday, February 10, a lighthearted video surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) showing Kelce, 35, in a cheerful Facetime call with The Chainsmokers, the popular electronic music duo. The video captured the moment the duo—composed of Alex Pall, 39, and Drew Taggart, 35—celebrated their recent performance at a Chiefs afterparty.
“I just played your f------ party,” The Chainsmokers said, acknowledging their performance at the exclusive event following the game.
Kelce, smiling and clearly in good spirits, continued the chat with the duo. “Dom is here too,” someone off-camera shouted, directing the camera to DJ Dom Dolla, who joined the conversation. While Kelce didn’t attend the afterparty in person, the lively venue was buzzing with fans and families in Chiefs gear.
Gracie Hunt, daughter of Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt, offered fans a glimpse into the festive atmosphere at the afterparty on her Instagram Stories. The video showed revelers dancing and celebrating, many sporting red Chiefs attire, reflecting the energy of the night.
This year, however, Kelce didn't join the afterparty. Last year, after the Chiefs' victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 2024, Kelce had joined the fun at Zouk nightclub in Las Vegas. There, he partied with his teammates, girlfriend Taylor Swift—who also attended the game—and The Chainsmokers. A video on TikTok clip even caught Kelce dancing on stage to Swift’s iconic hit “You Belong with Me,” creating one of the night's unforgettable moments.

The Chainsmokers
Kelce and The Chainsmokers share a longstanding friendship, having celebrated together on numerous occasions. Their connection dates back to the Chiefs' 2023 Super Bowl victory over the Eagles, when they partied at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa in Las Vegas. Kelce, Pall, and Taggart have forged a strong bond over the years, celebrating both on and off the field.
In May 2024, Kelce was once again seen hanging out with The Chainsmokers, further solidifying their close friendship and shared love of celebration. Despite the defeat, it’s clear that the tight end remains focused on enjoying life outside of football, making time for both his teammates and good friends like The Chainsmokers.
