Demi Moore Recalls Bruce Willis' Vulnerability in First Meeting.
Demi Moore has revealed a touching moment from her first meeting with ex-husband Bruce Willis, recalling how his hands were shaking in nervous excitement.
In her 2019 memoir, Inside Out, the Oscar-nominated actress shared how she was struck by Willis' chivalry and charm when they first met.
"I'd never encountered treatment like this before. Bruce was so gallant—in his own boisterous way, a real gentleman," Moore wrote. She recalled how he eagerly offered to walk her to her car, comparing his excitement to "a little boy who didn't want to miss the ice-cream truck."
However, what stood out most was a rare moment of vulnerability from Willis.
"When he asked for my number, I felt a wave of schoolgirl flutters. 'Do you have a pen?' He checked his pockets and came up empty. 'Don't leave!' he said, and went skittering off to get one," she described.
Willis, known for scribbling notes on his arm, wrote down her number—but Moore noticed something different this time.
"His hands were shaking. He was so vulnerable in that moment: all of the bravado was gone," she shared.
A Hollywood Romance That Captivated Fans
Moore and Willis married in November 1987, becoming one of Hollywood’s most high-profile couples. They welcomed three daughters—Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah—before parting ways in 2000 after 13 years of marriage.
Despite their split, they remained close, co-parenting their children and publicly supporting each other through life's challenges.
