DLA Piper Welcomes Back Rosa Sayer to Strengthen Corporate Practice in Sydney.
DLA Piper is welcoming back a familiar face. Corporate lawyer Rosa Sayer has rejoined the firm’s Sydney office, bringing with her a wealth of experience in mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets.
Rosa isn't new to the DLA Piper team. She spent time with the firm earlier in her career, and now returns as Special Counsel, ready to dive back into the fast-paced world of public market deals and complex corporate transactions.
A Trusted Adviser in Capital Markets and M&A
Over the years, Rosa has carved out a reputation as a go-to lawyer for companies navigating the ASX, from IPOs and capital raisings to M&A plays that shift industries.
She's worked with both Australian and international businesses, helping them tackle everything from listing rules and governance to the finer points of securities law.
But it’s not just companies turning to Rosa for guidance. She also works closely with investment banks and corporate advisory firms, often playing a central role in managing and underwriting major capital market transactions.
“Rosa brings exactly the kind of experience and steady hand that clients need when they’re making big moves. We’re thrilled to have her back.” said David Ryan, Head of Equity Capital Markets at DLA Piper in Australia.
Building Momentum in a Competitive Market
Rosa’s return comes at a moment of growth for the firm’s corporate practice in Australia. In recent months, DLA Piper has also added David Holland, a seasoned M&A partner, and David Kirkland, a finance expert, further deepening the firm’s capabilities in key transactional areas.
“We advise on more M&A deals globally than any other firm — and that kind of leadership comes from continuously building a world-class team,” said Jyoti Singh, Head of Corporate, Australia. “Rosa’s return is part of that commitment.”
Rosa officially rejoined the firm on March 31, and her appointment is already drawing attention within the legal and business community.
