Hilaria Baldwin, 41, mother of seven and wife to actor Alec Baldwin, recently shared her candid thoughts on dealing with the paparazzi.

In a March 16 episode of The Baldwins, Hilaria opened up about the emotional toll of being constantly followed by photographers, admitting that while she’s learned to disengage, there have been moments when she struggled. "Have I always disengaged? No. Have I had problems? Absolutely," she confessed.

A Specific Incident with the Paparazzi

One of the most memorable incidents Hilaria recalled involved the paparazzi mobbing her outside her home after Alec Baldwin was charged with involuntary manslaughter in January 2024, in connection with the fatal Rust shooting.

Though the case was dismissed in July 2024, the intense media frenzy had already taken a toll on Hilaria. “It was just absolutely insane,” she said, reflecting on the overwhelming experience.

Hilaria's Strategy to Protect Alec Baldwin

In the face of the paparazzi, Hilaria took matters into her own hands. During the incident, she put together an elaborate plan to protect her husband. She wore an outlandish outfit—a mini skirt, fishnet stockings, and a metallic silver jacket—designed to confuse the photographers and give Alec a chance to escape.

“I put my back to the corner so their back was to the apartment,” she explained. Hilaria then coordinated with a car, helping Alec get away, and walked back to her house once he was safely in the car.

Defending Her Actions and Family

Despite the attention her plan attracted, Hilaria defended her actions, stating that her goal was always to protect her family, not seek attention. She criticized the media's misunderstanding of her motives, saying, “People call me an attention seeker, but you know what? I’m gonna take care of my husband and my kids.”

Alec Baldwin also shared his perspective, admitting he’s had conflicts with paparazzi in the past but has since learned to avoid engaging with them. However, he made it clear that he would defend his family if necessary, saying, “If a paparazzi tries to chip my wife’s teeth with the camera lens, you’ll see some yelling.”

He explained, "If the guy's taking a picture of my family from 75 feet away when I was much younger, I would really, really let that bother me. But after everything we’ve been through, I just want to take care of my family.” Alec’s shift in mindset reflects his current priorities—protecting his loved ones from undue media intrusion.
