Rebecca Loos Breaks Silence on Beckham Affair: “I Stuck to the Truth”
More than 20 years after she first claimed she had an affair with David Beckham, Rebecca Loos is speaking out again — and standing firm on her story.
In a powerful new interview with 60 Minutes Australia (aired March 30), Loos says she has “never lied” about the alleged relationship with Beckham, which reportedly happened in 2003 while she was working as his personal assistant.
“I’ve stuck to the truth. I’ve never exaggerated. I’ve never lied about a single thing,” Loos, now 47, told the program.
Back then, David was married to Victoria Beckham and had just moved to Spain after signing with Real Madrid. Loos, a Dutch former model, was assigned to assist the football star during his transition from Manchester United. She claims the alleged affair began shortly after.

“I Was the First and Last Person He Saw Each Day”
Loos described her time working for Beckham as intense and personal.
“I was the first person they saw in the morning and the last at night,” she said, referring to the Beckhams’ life in Madrid.
She alleges the affair began when Victoria was out of town and Beckham invited her to a hotel. Loos says she fell hard — only to feel “massively played” just weeks later when she saw him with another woman at a party.
“I gave in. I fell hook, line and sinker for every single cliché line he fed me,” she said.
Why She Spoke Out
Loos says she chose to tell her side of the story publicly back in 2004, after rumors hit the British tabloids. At the time, she felt it was better to have some control over the narrative rather than let the media define it.
“I always had the opinion that it's better that it comes from me,” she said.

In an interview with News of the World that same year, Loos claimed the affair lasted four months. Beckham swiftly denied the allegations, calling the reports “ludicrous” and stating that he was happily married.
“What appeared this morning is just one further example,” he said in 2004. “I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change this.”
A New Light After Netflix's Beckham Doc
Interest in the scandal spiked again in 2023 after the release of Netflix’s Beckham docuseries. In it, David and Victoria opened up about one of the toughest periods in their marriage, though they never mentioned Loos directly.
“It was the most unhappy I’ve ever been in my entire life,” Victoria admitted.
David described feeling like they were both “drowning” under media pressure.
Loos, watching the renewed media buzz decades later, says she found it frustrating that Beckham’s image remained untouched.
“There were loads of horrible stories about me, and about Victoria — but never David,” she said. “Nothing changed in his life. He kept everything.”
Emotional Toll and New Life Path
Loos also opened up about the emotional fallout she experienced after going public, saying the experience was more traumatic than she allowed herself to admit at the time.
“I wanted to be brave and strong,” she said. “But it did seep through and it’s taken time to recover.”
Today, Loos lives a very different life. She's now a certified yoga and meditation teacher, a medical assistant, and a mother of two teenage boys. She lives in Norway with her husband, a doctor.
“It was a very brave thing to go up against them,” she said, referring to David and Victoria Beckham. “They had the best PR, the best lawyers… and all I had was the truth.”
David Beckham recently celebrated his 50th birthday with a lavish black-tie party in Miami, surrounded by family and close friends. The event, held at Cipriani Downtown Miami, was attended by notable figures including Tom Brady, Shaquille O'Neal, and Lionel Messi.
Victoria Beckham shared moments from the celebration on Instagram, highlighting the family's unity.
Rebecca Loos sharing her side again after all these years brings an old story back into the spotlight — but this time, with a different lens. What was once tabloid fodder now feels more like a conversation about power, reputation, and the emotional toll behind the headlines.
