MFLegal assisted Agrolux Group, a leading developer in the photovoltaic sector, in the negotiation and signing of a framework agreement for the development and sale to a primary European operator in the sector with over 2.3 GWp of global installed capacity in relation to a pipeline of agrivoltaic projects in development course, with a total expected power of up to 790 MWp located in Sardinia, and in the completion of the first closing related to a first set of projects for 207 MWp.
The operation was managed by the lawyer Franca Miccolis, who will continue to provide her assistance to Agrolux Group as part of the finalization of subsequent closings until the pipeline is completed.
The operator/buyer was assisted by Orrick’s energy and infrastructure legal team led by partner Carlo Montella, Global Deputy Business Unit Leader of the Energy and Infrastructure practice, together with senior associate Marcello Montresor as to M&A side and of counsel Celeste Mellone as to regulatory and DD matters.
Agrolux Group is currently engaged in the development of 22 photovoltaic plants in the Sardinia Region for a total of 1.158 MWp by virtue of contracts signed with the main European renewable energy players.
The Group is also developing some off-shore wind projects, one of which is in the advanced authorization process in Civitavecchia and another with a 14 MWp experimental blade in Olbia. Furthermore, it is engaged in the construction of 500 plants each one of 1 MWp size in the agricultural authorization process: agrivoltaic greenhouses with innovative solutions under partnership agreements with the groups operating in the field of hydroponic agricultural production.
