Garth Brooks Considers Move to Ireland Amid Sexual Assault Controversy.

Garth Brooks, 62, has revealed that his wife, Trisha Yearwood, 60, is advocating for a home in Ireland during the ongoing sexual assault controversy surrounding him. The couple, known for their deep connection to music and each other, is contemplating a move from Nashville to the Emerald Isle, sparked by recent allegations made by Brooks' former hair and makeup artist.

A Love for Ireland

During an episode of Inside Studio G, Garth Brooks shared with fans that Trisha is particularly eager to make this relocation. He noted her growing affection for Ireland, saying, “I think this last time in Ireland, she just fell head over heels in love with the country.” The couple had toured the country while performing, and Garth recalled how warmly Trisha was received by fans.

The Allegations

The timing of this potential move coincides with serious allegations against Garth Brooks. A woman, who is using the pseudonym “Jane Roe,” filed a lawsuit against the country star on October 3 in a California state court. In her claims, she accuses Brooks of sexual assault and battery, detailing incidents from a business trip in 2019. The allegations include accusations of exposing himself, sharing inappropriate sexual fantasies, changing clothes in her presence, and sending explicit text messages.

Garth Brooks has vehemently denied these claims, stating through his legal representatives that Jane’s allegations are false and detrimental to his reputation. In a bid to counter her claims, he filed a lawsuit of his own, initially under the name John Doe to protect his privacy. In this lawsuit, he accused Jane of attempting to damage his reputation and insisted that her allegations could have irreversible effects on his career and personal life.

Legal Battles Intensify

As the legal battle unfolds, Garth Brooks revealed that he had provided Jane with financial assistance but refused her request for a salaried position with health benefits. He asked the court to declare her claims as false and sought compensation for the emotional distress she has caused him.

Shortly after Jane's lawsuit was made public, Garth Brooks amended his complaint, disclosing her identity—a move that drew sharp criticism. Jane's attorney condemned Brooks for “outing” a rape victim and indicated that they would seek maximum sanctions against him for this action.

In a letter to the judge, Jane expressed her concerns, asserting that Garth's actions were intended to retaliate against her for coming forward with her claims. She described his public revelation of her name as a calculated attempt to expose her to victim shaming.

While Garth Brooks faces serious allegations and legal challenges, Trisha’s desire for a home in Ireland reflects their commitment to each other and their pursuit of peace during this tumultuous time.
