Rosie O’Donnell’s Daughter Chelsea Released from Jail: Court Orders Sobriety and Drug-Free Mandate.
Rosie O'Donnell's daughter, Chelsea, has been released from jail after spending over a month behind bars. She was granted a $4,000 bond following two arrests within a few weeks, according to recent reports.
Court documents reveal that Chelsea, 27, appeared in a Wisconsin court on November 12, where her bond conditions were modified. The judge mandated that she maintain "absolute sobriety" while out on bond, stating that she must not consume alcohol or illegal drugs, nor possess any drug paraphernalia without a valid prescription.
Additionally, she was instructed to report to the Sheriff’s Department for fingerprinting and a photo. The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office has removed Chelsea from their active inmate list, as she had been incarcerated since her arrest on October 11. She is scheduled to return to court for a hearing on December 12. Chelsea's legal issues began on September 10 when the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call from her, which involved a dispute.
Upon arrival, officers noticed Chelsea had dilated pupils. The police report indicates they discovered a meth pipe with residue in her possession, along with a black vial containing a white crystal-like substance identified as meth, and a clear plastic bag with pills, which Chelsea claimed were Alprazolam. Additionally, a marijuana pipe was reportedly found on her boyfriend, Jacob Nelund.
The police reported a shocking scene when they entered the home to check on Chelsea and Jacob’s 11-month-old son, Atlas. One officer noted, “The inside of the house was appalling; I encountered rotten food, filthy, moldy dishes, milk that had a foul odor, dirty diapers, used feminine hygiene products, soiled underwear with feces and blood stains, and razor blades scattered on the floor.” He added, “The living conditions were dreadful.
I searched the bathroom but found nothing of interest. I then helped search the downstairs bedroom belonging to Chelsea and Jacob. Deputy Veriha discovered a used meth pipe and a bag containing meth.” The police reported that the baby was found sleeping in one of the rooms.
“In Chelsea’s bedroom, where the child was initially located, there was a meth pipe, a bag with methamphetamine, a marijuana grinder, and another container with marijuana shake,” the report stated. Chelsea was arrested and faced four felony charges for maintaining a drug trafficking location, child neglect, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of THC. She was later released on bond.

A few weeks later, on October 11, Chelsea was stopped by police while driving around. During the stop, she attempted to throw a meth pipe into a river, but it hit a fence and bounced back. The police report indicated that Chelsea had meth and pills in her possession. She was arrested again and charged with three felonies for possession of meth, bail jumping, possession of narcotics, along with other misdemeanor charges. Rosie, 62, spoke out regarding Chelsea’s arrest. “Unfortunately, this isn’t new for our family – Chelsea has battled drug addiction for ten years – we all hope she can overcome this devastating disease,” the O’Donnell family shared in a statement.
Rosie adopted Chelsea along with her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter when Chelsea was just a baby.
