Team Bublé's Sofronio Vasquez has been named the winner of Season 26 of "The Voice." The season finale aired on Tuesday night, where Vasquez triumphed over the other finalists by garnering the highest number of viewer votes.
In addition to the title of "The Voice," he also took home a $100,000 cash prize and a record deal. This victory marked coach Michael Bublé's first win, and he made history by having two contestants in the top five, with 17-year-old Shye from New York finishing as the runner-up. Vasquez, a 32-year-old from Mindanao, Philippines, wowed the audience with his performances of "Unstoppable" by Sia and "A Million Dreams" from "The Greatest Showman" on Monday night.
"Your mentorship has been a true blessing for me, my family, and all the dreamers out there. You've opened so many doors," Vasquez expressed to Bublé just before his victory. Bublé responded, "It's an unbelievable journey to be here with you."
During the finale, the top five contestants performed alongside their coaches, and the event also featured special appearances by former coaches Kelly Clarkson and Dan + Shay, as well as Sting and Tears for Fears. Sofronio Vasquez, 32, hails from Mindanao, Philippines, and is the Season 26 champion of "The Voice" representing Team Bublé. He made a remarkable impression during the blind auditions, turning all four chairs with his rendition of "I'm Going Down" by Mary J. Blige. The Utica, New York resident has come a long way, having received no chair turns during his audition on "The Voice of the Philippines" nearly ten years ago, to now sweeping all four coaches on the U.S. version in 2024.

Vasquez expressed his feelings to the Utica Observer Dispatch, before the finale, saying, "It’s just so overwhelming. I’m thrilled to be completing this journey with such determination and finally being able to say, ‘I did it.’ Plus, I’m doing it alongside my amazing coach, Michael Bublé."
Michael Bublé achieved his first win as a coach in his debut season with Sofronio Vasquez's victory on Tuesday. He is also set to return for Season 27. The premiere of Season 27 of NBC's "The Voice" is set for Monday night, February 3, 2025. Episodes will air on NBC and will be available for streaming on Peacock the following day. For Season 27, original coach Adam Levine is making a comeback for the first time since his exit in 2019 after Season 16. He will be joined by returning coaches John Legend and Michael Bublé, along with new country coach Kelsea Ballerini.
