Specialized resources have been deployed in the search, including a police helicopter, canine units, and the marine division. Emergency services are collaborating in this effort, which extends along the coast towards the South Harbour of the Port of Aberdeen and towards Duthie Park. Investigations also involve coordination with authorities in Hungary, the missing women's home country, to assist their family.

CCTV footage from the area and door-to-door inquiries are being conducted. Officers are also engaging with local businesses to gather further information. The River Dee remains the primary focus of the search, with no indication suggesting the women have moved from the area.
