Kyle Richards' former partner Mauricio Umansky's 81-year-old father has been accused of mistreating his longtime girlfriend.

Kyle Richards from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is facing a troubling situation involving her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky's father, Eduardo Umansky.

His longtime girlfriend, Simin Tabibnia, has accused him of abuse, but Mauricio's family contends that Simin is the real aggressor.

Court documents reveal that Simin, 68, has filed for an “elder or dependent adult abuse restraining order” against Eduardo, 81. In her petition, she referred to him as her “ex-boyfriend” and requested that the court mandate he remain at least 100 yards away from her.

Simin alleges that Eduardo abused her on December 4, 2024. In her filing, she expressed her fear, stating, “I am afraid of [Eduardo].” Simin mentioned that she had been in a relationship with him for over 18 years, during which she claims to have suffered ongoing physical, verbal, and emotional abuse. She now fears for her safety due to his actions. Simin detailed instances of alleged physical abuse, claiming that Eduardo has assaulted her multiple times, resulting in injuries. She described being punched in the face and arms, struck in the legs, shoved to the ground, and choked. To support her claims, she included photos of her purported injuries with her petition.

“These incidents have left me not only physically injured but also emotionally injured,” Simin said. She claimed Eduardo’s “violent outbursts appear to be triggered by alcohol consumption and interactions with his family.”

Simin wrote, “Often, immediately after speaking with his daughter, Sharon Umansky Benton, he becomes enraged and attacks me.” She claimed Eduardo “has a long history of verbal abuse, frequently using demeaning and profane language toward me in public and in front of others. He has repeatedly told me to ‘shut the f–k up,’ among other degrading remarks.”

The legal troubles began last year when Mauricio, 54, and his sister, Sharon, sought to establish a conservatorship for their father, Eduardo. According to court documents, they argued that Eduardo was vulnerable to “undue influence and fraud” and had been exploited by his girlfriend. T

he court appointed Mauricio and Sharon as conservators of their father's financial matters. Additionally, Sharon requested a restraining order against Simin, alleging that she had kept Eduardo away from his family and was “abusive” towards him. In her request, Sharon claimed that Simin physically assaulted her on September 27, 2024, stating that Simin hit her, bit her, and pulled her hair.

In response, Simin filed her own petition for a restraining order, seeking protection from Sharon and denying any wrongdoing, instead accusing Sharon of being the aggressor. The court ultimately granted Sharon a permanent restraining order against Simin, mandating that Simin remain at least 100 yards away from her. In a new petition against Eduardo, Simin expressed her belief that his behavior would change following Sharon's filing of a separate “elder abuse” restraining order against her in October 2024. In that petition, Sharon accused Simin of being an “abusive” partner to Eduardo.

She said, “Around 10 years ago were the first signs of threats and abuse but it was difficult to understand exactly what was happening. Around August or September 2022 was when things began to escalate.” Sharon continued, “My father started having bloody arms and bruises. She would hurt him, when he would grab her arms, she would bruise and then threaten to send him to jail for abuse. As his daughter, I am trying to protect him from living out the rest of his life under duress.”

Sharon alleged that Simin was verbally abusive towards her father both at their workplace and primarily at home. In her complaint, Sharon mentioned that she had videos documenting the supposed abuse. “We have known about some of the abuse including verbal threats, sexual manipulation, physical violence and filed a police report but my father is a battered boyfriend and has early signs of dementia and refused to press charges for fear of the threats that Simin has posed on him for many years,” Sharon said.

Sharon stated that her father had suffered physical harm, showing “multiple signs such as a bloody arm from nails and teeth marks on his skin.” She mentioned that Eduardo was “extremely depressed” and “cut off from his friends because she takes his phone and removes their contact information.” Sharon accused Simin of “financially controlling [Eduardo] through threats, violence, and sexual favors in exchange for money.” “It’s becoming increasingly violent, and I’m concerned about it escalating,” Sharon expressed.

In her response to Sharon's petition, Simin firmly rejected all the accusations made against her. She stated that she had been in a committed relationship with Eduardo for 18 years. Simin asserted that Sharon had only recently become involved in her father's life, suggesting that her motives were financially driven. She further claimed that Sharon had never been fond of her and had frequently spoken ill of her to Eduardo and others.

Simin alleged that Sharon had attempted to persuade Eduardo to end their relationship on multiple occasions. Simin described Sharon's allegations of physical abuse as false and somewhat ironic, stating, "For a long time, I have suffered from significant physical abuse at the hands of Eduardo." She mentioned that she had concealed her injuries from others, although two of her doctors had witnessed them; one recommended that she leave the relationship, while the other suggested she contact the authorities. The court has issued a temporary restraining order in favor of Sharon, representing Eduardo, but a final decision on a permanent order is still pending. A hearing is scheduled for next month. In her petition against Eduardo, Simin noted that tensions have increased since he was granted the temporary restraining order.

“[Eduardo] has been relentlessly harassing me, calling me and texting me over 100 times since the restraining order was filed, and often, and multiple times a day. These calls are continuous and persistent, with the most recent calls occurring December 4, 2024.

In addition, Simin said Eduardo’s family has sent text messages, “threatening to call the police and have me arrested if I answer any of [Eduardo’s] calls or text messages. These threats have caused me immense stress and fear.”

It read, “I am sorry to have to say this and write this text to you. Regarding your mom and my father, I want to remind you and her that she cannot be speaking to my father. We are aware that my father is calling her, despite this she is still picking up when she is not allowed to. We Don’t want to but are prepared to bring this to the police if this continues. Please make sure she is aware.”

Simin added, “I am 68 years old and feel powerless against the Respondent’s ongoing harassment and his family’s threats. I do not want to risk incarceration from the Respondent’s relentless attempts to contact me. I am in desperate need of the court’s protection to stop the Respondent’s abusive behavior.” Simin has submitted a request to the court for a restraining order against Eduardo, who has not yet replied to the petition.
