Kim Zolciak from RHOA is facing a huge five-figure debt to her lawyers as her divorce from Kroy Biermann continues to unfold.
Kim Zolciak, a former star of Real Housewives of Atlanta, is facing a lien on her Georgia mansion due to unpaid legal fees. Records obtained reveal that the law firm Snider & Snider PC, represented by attorney Rachel Snider, has filed a lien against Kim’s impressive seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom mansion, which spans 15,694 square feet.

Following her separation from estranged husband Kroy Biermann, 39, Kim, 46, listed the property for $6 million in October 2023. However, the home has remained on the market for several months without any offers, prompting the couple to reduce the asking price multiple times in hopes of attracting buyers. As the bank proceeds with foreclosure, the couple has vacated the property. The lien states that Kim owes Snider & Snider a total of $55,143 as of October 25, which covers legal services related to her divorce from Kroy.

The lien will enable the firm to recover the $55,000 owed once the property is sold. Earlier this year, Snider & Snider placed a separate lien on the property for over $77,000 owed. It appears that the debt has decreased since the initial filing. Additionally, another attorney, David Beaudry, has filed a lien against the property for $33,000 owed by Kim. These liens are still active and have not been released in Georgia. Kim and Kroy are still navigating their contentious divorce proceedings, having been in and out of court since May 2023.

At that time, both Kim and Kroy filed separate divorce petitions, each seeking support and primary custody of their minor children. The situation escalated quickly. Kim accused Kroy of using marijuana and requested that he undergo drug testing. According to Kim’s lawyer, she has witnessed Kroy smoking marijuana and has serious concerns about the safety and well-being of their children while in his care, fearing they might be exposed to his drug use. Kroy has denied these allegations and countered by claiming that Kim has issues with spending and gambling, requesting that she undergo a psychological evaluation. The former NFL player asserted that Kim has been “spending significant time and marital funds on gambling and other games of chance.”
His lawyer said, “This compulsion has financially devastated the parties. [Kim’s] time is so consumed with online gambling that she is unable to properly care for the children.” Kim denied the claims.

The couple withdrew their divorce petitions a few months later, choosing to focus on their marriage instead. Unfortunately, their reconciliation was short-lived. In August 2023, Kroy initiated divorce proceedings again. Amidst the ongoing legal issues, they have frequently involved the police to report each other's conduct. A judge has mandated that they sleep in different parts of the house and maintain distance from one another while still living under the same roof.
In an effort to stop their home from being foreclosed, Kim addressed the court during the lawsuit. “We strongly believe that the proceeds from its sale can help alleviate our financial difficulties and secure a stable future for our children. However, the impending threat of foreclosure is looming over us, and time is of the essence.”
“Kroy and I will face insurmountable financial hardships, and the most devastating consequence will be the impact on our children, who would be left homeless,” she said.
