Kanye West Reveals Vision for Dream City 'DROAM' in Middle East
Kanye West, the 47-year-old rapper known for hits like "Gold Digger," has unveiled his ambitious plans for an ideal city named DROAM. Shared via Instagram, the concept envisions a self-sustaining, innovative urban environment in the Middle East, where Kanye would oversee every detail, from its design to its operations.
In his post, Kanye described DROAM as a futuristic city featuring "undulating, walkable floors" and a design that "embraces a primitive, naturalistic approach," excluding traditional features such as windows. "This city will be different," Kanye wrote, revealing his plans for an urban space that challenges conventional design principles and pushes the boundaries of modern living.
Kanye initially had plans to develop DROAM within the exclusive North Beverly Park community in Los Angeles. However, the idea faced swift dismissal from local residents, who labelled the proposal as "delusional," doubting that he could secure the necessary votes from the homeowner's association. Despite the pushback, Kanye's passion for the project hasn’t waned.

Last year, Kanye shared a tweet proposing the development of DROAM across 100,000 acres in the Middle East—an area double the size of New York City. Sources suggest that the project is already in its early stages, with West seeking collaborators to bring his vision to life. "We want to create something that has never been done before," Kanye said in a tweet, expressing his excitement about the groundbreaking nature of the project.
Despite these grand plans, not everyone is convinced by Kanye’s vision. Fans responding to his Instagram post expressed doubt, with one asking, "What does this mean?" and another joking, "dw Kanye, I’m off my meds too." However, Kanye remains undeterred, and his concept of DROAM continues to stir both intrigue and skepticism.
The announcement of DROAM comes as Kanye also prepares for the release of his upcoming album Bully, slated for 2025. Meanwhile, fans are still eagerly awaiting his collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign on Vultures 3.
While Kanye focuses on his ventures, including his marriage to Bianca Censori and their worldwide travels, his personal life continues to make headlines. The rapper recently reunited with his children in Tokyo after a lengthy absence, a moment that had fans and media buzzing. Kanye shares his four children—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm—with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
As DROAM progresses, Kanye's focus on his creative pursuits, family, and bold aspirations is clear. Whether the city becomes a reality or remains a visionary dream, Kanye’s ambitious plans reflect his desire to innovate and disrupt traditional systems.
