Driven Jennifer Lopez is still chasing her lifelong dream of winning an Oscar, with sources claiming she’s now turning to Brad Pitt and other top A-list producers in a desperate attempt to rebuild her image and align herself with Hollywood’s elite.
“It’s crucial to have the right material to get into the race with an award-worthy script, and let’s face it — Brad and his company have a great track record, so he’s at the top of her schmooze list,” says an insider.
Following the embarrassing end of her fourth marriage to Ben Affleck, 52, the singer and actress is reportedly eager to polish her public persona, according to a tipster.
“She’s looking for A-list acceptance,” the source adds. “She’s always felt a little like an outsider and is convinced that an Oscar would prove she’s got everyone’s respect.” Though J.Lo, 55, has never worked with Brad Pitt, a source reveals that she became acquainted with the 61-year-old actor during her two-year marriage to Ben.
“Brad and Ben are friends, so Jen has spent a little time with him — enough to feel comfortable reaching out and asking if he has any material she can star in,” reveals the mole. “She’s willing to put up a lot of money for the right project and she knows that will help.”
