"We’re still in the process of collecting information about the events that led to his legal troubles and have contacted the police for more details," a spokesperson stated, as investigations continue into the incident. This comes after an earlier controversial event, where Marcus was seen allegedly inhaling a white powder during a vacation in the South of France.
The incident also adds to a series of personal issues surrounding Marcus, including his previous relationship with reality television star Larsa Pippen. Larsa, the ex-wife of former NBA star Scottie Pippen—who was a long-time teammate of Michael Jordan—ended the relationship with Marcus, citing his "troublesome behavior."
"I came to the realization that he wasn’t the right match for me," Larsa said in an interview last year. "It provided me with clarity about our relationship after some time apart."
