JetBlue Pilot Arrested on Child Exploitation Charges.
A JetBlue pilot, 33-year-old Jeremy Gudorf from Ohio, was arrested last Friday on charges related to child exploitation. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers apprehended him at Boston's Logan Airport as he reported for duty. Authorities confirmed that the arrest stemmed from an existing warrant.
In a statement, JetBlue announced that the pilot has been placed on indefinite leave while law enforcement continues its investigation into the matter. “The pilot has been placed on indefinite leave while law enforcement continues proceeds with the matter,” the airline said.
Gudorf's flight, bound for Paris, was halted due to the arrest. The investigation was initiated by the Huntersville Police Department in North Carolina, following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in October 2024.
Authorities used information from Google to help track down images linked to the case, leading to the arrest warrant.
Gudorf has been charged with second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. At his arraignment hearing, Gudorf was set with a $10,000 bail, with instructions to be in North Carolina by Tuesday. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are continuing to gather evidence related to the case.
