I just finished watching The Gabby Petito Story on Netflix, and wow… I’m still processing everything. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see how everything unfolded, especially knowing how public the case became. The documentary did a great job of shedding light on the red flags and missed opportunities where things could have been different.

One thing that really struck me was the bodycam footage. It was hard to watch, knowing what would happen later. It makes you think about how domestic violence and mental health are often misunderstood or overlooked. The interviews with her family were so raw and emotional. You could feel the pain they’re still living with.

I also appreciated that it wasn’t just about retelling the story but also about raising awareness for other victims who don’t get the same attention. It really makes you think about the influence of social media and how public perception can shape these investigations.

Anyone else watched it? What were your thoughts? Do you think it handled the case sensitively? I’d love to hear how others felt about it.

Haven't watched it yet, but it's on my watchlist. Seems like a hard watch, though.
