What's Wrong with Donald Trump's Legs? Viral Golf Video Sparks Speculation.

Social media is buzzing with speculation about Donald Trump’s health after a video surfaced showing him seemingly limping during a golf outing. The footage, shared by Aleman’s Brothers LLC, a groundskeeping company that services Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, shows the former president struggling as he exits a golf cart and dragging his right leg before taking his swing.

Social Media Reacts to Trump’s Gait

The video quickly went viral, with users on X questioning whether something is wrong with Trump’s legs.

  • One user commented, “Trump moves his right leg like a piece of wood.”
  • Others described his movements as “wobbly” and “far from stable.”
  • Some speculated about possible health conditions, including “weak knees” and “neuromuscular degenerative issues.”

Ongoing Health Concerns and Past Incidents

This latest wave of speculation follows similar concerns raised just a week prior when Trump was seen with a yellow and purple bruise on his hand during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. Social media exploded with theories, with some users suggesting an IV-related bruise or vitamin deficiency.

This is not the first time Trump’s mobility has been questioned:

  • In March 2023, a video of Trump dragging his leg at a campaign rally went viral, with commentator Ron Filipkowski stating, “Something is definitely going on with his right leg. He’s been dragging it for months.”
  • In February 2024, Trump appeared to limp while entering a room of supporters.
  • In January 2024, he was seen dragging his leg while delivering pizzas to firefighters before the Iowa caucuses.
  • In October 2023, during the unveiling of the MAGA garbage truck, he was observed using only his right leg to step onto the vehicle.
  • In July 2020, during his first term, Trump reportedly dragged his right leg while visiting a lab in North Carolina.

Medical Speculation vs. Expert Opinions

Some social media users, including a self-identified nurse, suggested Trump has “bilateral drop foot” and may soon require a walker. Others claimed he shows signs of a “neurodegenerative disease” or “advancing dementia.” However, no medical professionals have publicly confirmed any such conditions.

Donald Trump brags that his granddaughter Kai gets her golfing skills from him. Spot the leg drag.

Regarding Trump’s bruised hand, Dr. Stuart Fischer, an internal medicine physician in New York said that age-related fragile blood vessels could be the cause, along with an “aggressive handshake.” He also noted osteoarthritis could be a factor, as it can lead to discoloration around affected joints.

Similarly, Dr. Neal H. Patel, a primary care physician at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in California, suggested the bruise might result from a routine blood draw or IV infusion.

What’s Next?

President Donald Trump will complete his annual physical exam next month at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, according to a statement issued by the White House and attributed to his physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella.

At 78, Trump remains the oldest president to take office. His previous exams noted obesity and high blood pressure, though doctors deemed him "healthy." While he isn’t required to release the results, public scrutiny remains high.

Barbabella, a U.S. Navy captain with combat trauma expertise, was recently appointed as Trump’s physician, fueling speculation about security concerns. His background differs from previous White House medical staff, focusing on emergency and tactical medicine.

The exam will assess standard health metrics but won’t require cognitive or psychiatric evaluations. Trump’s diet, including his love for fast food, continues to be a talking point.

Barbabella stated that the exam date will be announced in the coming weeks.
