Offset has reached a tentative settlement with the landlord who sued him and his estranged wife, Cardi B, over alleged property damage to a Beverly Hills rental mansion, according to court documents obtained by Lawyer Monthly.
The lawsuit, filed by SD Squared in December 2023, accused Offset, Cardi B, and Offset’s company, Sallie Smith LLC, of breach of contract and negligence. The landlord claimed Offset and Cardi lived in the home for 20 months, leaving unexpectedly in October 2023, without notice.

The suit alleged they failed to pay rent and utilities for a period and left behind extensive property damage, including:
The landlord estimated repair costs to be at least $85,000 and claimed multiple attempts to resolve the issue were ignored.
Offset, 33, denied the allegations, arguing that portions of the lease were “unconscionable” and procured under fraud or duress. His company filed a countersuit, revealing details about the rental agreement.
Documents reveal that Offset and SD Squared agreed “in principle” to a settlement during mediation on November 7, 2024. However, a few details remain before the agreement is officially executed.
This lawsuit is just one of Offset’s financial battles. Recently, the rapper was hit with $1.6 million in tax liens while navigating his ongoing divorce from Cardi B, 32. The couple’s second split has been clouded by cheating rumors and legal troubles.
As soon as the final settlement agreement is signed, the case will be closed, bringing an end to this high-profile real estate dispute.
