Raimond, serving in the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department since 1992, succeeds Ron Goodman in the role. Goodman has served in this capacity for 12 years of his 32-year tenure at the firm and will continue on as chairperson of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department. Raimond’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation with a speciality in real property, environmental, and commercial foreclosure matters as well as business law. The elevation of Raimond to managing partner is a significant move in the 50-year-old firm’s strategic plan to expand its outlook as a legacy player in New York City’s legal marketplace. The news comes alongside other corporate advances including recent high-level hires. “After 28 years of dedicated service to this firm, I’ve seen Robinson Brog evolve over time – yet, I’m proud to say we maintain the core values of personal service and top- notch legal counsel that have defined us as a firm and as attorneys. I am committed to ensuring that these values remain our top priority,” said Raimond. “I look forward to leading Robinson Brog into the next phase of our growth while we continue to secure positive outcomes for our clients and their businesses.” Raimond joined Robinson Brog after graduating from Brooklyn Law School with his Juris Doctorate and the State University of New York at New Paltz with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He is admitted to the bar in New York and Connecticut. Frequently called on to speak and contribute insights on business law, he has been a lecturer at the New York State Bar Association Business Law Committee and has been published in the New York State Business Law Journal. In addition, Raimond has served on the New York State Bar’s Executive Committee and has served as co-chair of the organization’s Environmental Law sub-committee on Ethics. Robinson Brog Names Roger Raimond Managing Partner DLA Piper is strengthening its Corporate offering in Asia with the appointment of David Kuo as partner in its Corporate practice, based in Singapore. David joins the firm from Milbank, where he has been a partner since 2015. His practice focuses on M&A and private equity transactions, particularly in the real estate, technology and energy sectors. He has extensive experience in a broad range of transactions in Asia and the US, including advising on a wide range of cross-border M&A, business combinations and private equity transactions. Li Qiang, DLA Piper's Co-Regional Managing Partner in Asia, said: “Singapore is a key strategic office for growth and a hub for our ASEAN offering. David’s experience and market profile, combined with his extensive track record in advising corporate clients, will perfectly complement our global corporate business.” Luke Gannon, Head of DLA Piper’s Corporate Practice in Asia, added: “David’s appointment further demonstrates our commitment to developing our Singapore based ASEAN Corporate practice.
