The transaction, which remains subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close in Q1 2022. Since its inception in 2017, hugo’s operations have spread to over 40 cities across six countries: the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica and Nicaragua. The company provides multi-category marketplace services for food delivery, grocery delivery, pharmacy delivery and eCommerce, in addition to on-demand and financial services, and boasts more than 800 employees and 1.3 million registered users. The transaction is expected to close in Q1 2022 and subject to relevant regulatory approvals. Delivery Hero is a local delivery platform whose service operates in around 50 countries across Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa.
